I've photographed this group at the Pridefest parade for the last couple of years. Don't know who they are - no signs or banners, and I'm too busy shooting to ask someone. They carry ordinary blow-em-up-yourself balloons. If you have ever inflated one, you've probably noticed the odd, not quite rubbery smell of the latex. Now imagine that in a small area, multiplied hundreds if not thousands of times.

The same balloon flowers were in the S.F. Pride parade. A memo must have gone out.
Darn. I have a latex allergy. I guess I won't be able to join this group.
I wouldn't look good marching around without a shirt if I had latex induced red welts and rashes breaking out all over my skin.
In fact, I wouldn't look good walking around without a shirt in any circumstances.

They certainly do catch attention. Then again, that is the point, isn't it?
They're called the Balloon Guys or something like that. They're for hire for events... we used them at our fundraiser.
A tad more than a whiff of latex I bet Bob! Love the grass skirts haha! Such a fun event to shoot!
