This post is not a comment about The Salvation Army. Just a combination of elements for your consideration on Christmas Eve.
WHAT'S MILDLY ANNOYING THE FAMILY: my wife, son and I were going to dine out tonight. However, St. Louis premier (well, only) Nepalese restaurant that we planned to visit just decided to close this evening. Hmmm, what about our favorite Vietnamese place? Oh, the challenges of the non-traditional middle class.
TOMORROW: Thursday Arch Series (Christmas Edition) and a new Arch photo on Gateway.

I haven't had coffee yet so I am not sure what to say except with the greenery over the sign it looks like the sign says "forget doing the most good"??? Unfotunately they're a heck of a lot of folks that operate like that in this world.
Best to you and your family, Bob. May your find an open restaurant tonight!!!!

Hm. Interesting composition and subject combination. I'm not sure what I am considering... Perhaps that's the point?
Hope you have a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner where ever you end up.
Am wondering what the words say ....forget...?? something about children?
Bob, hope you find a good place to eat tonight and I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas.
I apologize if people are finding this post obscure. It's just the graphic design concept of throwing together several visual elements that might lead a viewer to his or her own conclusions. This photo includes an emotionally manipulative picture of a sad child; a rather barren Christmas tree; a very modern Christmas tree graphic; the word "forget" followed by an ellipsis; the Salvation Army logo; and the phrase "doing the most good." And, of course, I posted it on Christmas Eve. Take what you want from it.
I can't remember the full phrase above the word "forget." The word immediately before it is "don't." I can go look in a while - it's two blocks from my office.
Oh, and Sharon: thank you for your concern about the family Christmas Eve dinner. Plan C or D or something is to visit our friend Mohammad at the International Kebab House for an ecumenical experience. Hope he's open. There's always the nearby White Castle, ready to serve you 24/7/365. (Just joking. We wouldn't really do that. Well, maybe my son and I would but my wife wouldn't.)
Well I'm not the only one and now that you have explained it I see where you were going. Oh and I do know how to spell unfortunately , just too frazzled to delete and rewrite the darn thing.
I'm still pulling for some cheesy CHinese restaurant like the one in "The Christmas Story"!!!

Ah, I see, Bob. I was taking your question too literally. Duh!
Merry Christmas, Bob. Best wishes for you and your family and may you find a fine place to eat tonight. Cheers!
You are pretty lucky to even have a Nepalese restaurant as a choice!
Merry Ho Ho Hos to you and yours from Sydney Daily Photo
