I Believe In Unicorns

Pillow Fight In Forest Parl 2013-04-06 2

Yesterday was International Pillow Fight Day and St. Louis participated. The event got off to a late start due to traffic problems all around Forest Park (Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Stephen Colbert were speaking at an event at adjacent Washington University and I wasn't invited) but it soon torqued up with fluff-smashing abandon.

It was organized by STL Improv Anywhere. Some of the members came in costume. I still haven't figured out where the eye-holes were in the unicorn head. Convinced me, though.

More soft mahem in the coming days.

The St. Louis Marathon starts at 7 this morning. Who thinks I'm getting up to shoot the start?

You're all right.

Looks like fun! (But that unicorn is a little creepy if you ask me.)

I think the international side of the event didn't make it to France...

Pillow fighting took place in our city yesterday too. Fun? It sounded pretty violent, if you ask me. I'm such a pussy.

Whoa, what's up with that?

"What did you do today, Dear?"

"Oh, nothing much. I went down to the park and got in a pillow fight with a unicorn wearing striped pants and a vest."

It is good to see something completely trivial and meaningless. We got back home yesterday and on the drive from the airport I had NPR playing on the car radio. It went from one grave international trouble spot to another. Some of the politicians and protesters need to pick up pillows.

You do have many fun events in your part of the world.
