There was bull riding and bull baiting Saturday night at the corrida and fiesta in the little town of Villareal, just up the road from Tamarindo. It's after midnight as I write this, we just got in from the airport and I'll have to explain all this loco-ness later on Monday.

I wish I knew what happened to the portal...
I will have to inquire about this on a future visit. I have driven through Villareal contless times on the way to Tamarindo, but have stopped only to buy appliances at the store in when I needed something new for one of the condos, or to photograph the little local church and town square/soccer field/cattle chute.

And the portal...? Who knows? The word 'portal' to me in itself is mysterious...and recalls science fiction, so...

Excellent set of images of La Corrida Bob, although surely they don't stick spiky things in the bulls anymore do they.
