Riverside Scenery

When my wife and I went out eagle viewing last weekend, we were told that we should find a lot of the birds at a certain spot along the Mississippi at sunrise. We got up before dawn and reached the river as the sun rose. No luck, but this power plant had a dramatic look in silhouette.

Great composition with the stack of verticals on the left and the river matching the power lines on the right. Nice color, great job!

Zow, almost a natural sepia effect there. But that's essentially the natural color, right?

I like the black and gold tones. No bald eagles are seen up here, yet. THe Mississippi is a bit froze over. The other day, the main channel was breaking up in huge rectabgular sheets of ice. Stay tuned for Mississippi on ice.

It is a dramatic shot for sure, nice silhouette and coppery colors.

what a nice shot--i guess it more than makes up for the lack of birds

Very nice shot. One of my favorites. Love the sunrise effect you got there. Great job!
