Thursday Arch Series

.
From deep in the archives. This picture was taken back in 2005, when I started obsessively photographing the Arch. Maybe my approach was more creative then (maybe I've worn out the possibilities) but all I need is an image every week.

It's simply amazing. What a nice shot. What can I say (or write) more?

Maybe the plane was in the right place at the right time? May be an oldie, but man, what a goodie. Love this intersection of two man-made arcs.

The diversity of images that you show every week from a single structure, of rather simple design, is amazing. It shows the elegance of the design.

We were interested to learn during our tour of the Sydney Opera House that it was Ero Sarinen who was most instrumental in taking the design for that building from the reject pile and causing it to be selected.
