Another feel-no-pain participant in our Mardi Gras parade. I wonder what's in that flagon. You know, this is one of the great social occasions of the year for the St. Louis drinking class. And St. Patrick's day is just around the corner!
WHAT'S WITH THIS? Yesterday's post had an exceptionally high number of hits and and an exceptionally low number of comments. Hmmm...
TOMORROW: CDPB monthly theme day - glass. It's a feeble effort but at least I did something.

I never went to this parade when I was living there and now I'm sorry I didn't. Such colorful characters!
This guy was born to be Bacchus. Perfect casting! I'll bet there's scotch in that flagon. This has been a great series Bob. More?
PS I"ll bet my feeble "Glass" entry is more feeble than yours. I had two really good ones and used them up during the "dry spell". We have a whole month to come up with YELLOW if it's still in the lead. I"m stumped.
Just catching up with your wonderful blog, Bob and goodness the news that your wife has had a hip operation. So glad to know it went well. I've several friends who have had it done and all wonder why they waited. They are like new! So very good wishes to Mrs. C.
Love this series of photographs. What fun this guy is. He looks like he lives the good life!
He really looks the part!
Sometimes words just can't improve on an image, Bob.
You're on my blog starting tonight at 6:00 PM CST.
That's not Bacchus he's a typical local round these parts.
Love it. My first reaction was "St. Louis got Mario Batali to be Bacchus?!" I think there should be wine in the flagon, but perhaps something stronger.
wonderful capture!!
