I'd never noticed this view before. A couple of weekends ago I was wandering around the Arch taking pix with autumn colors, like October 29's post. It was about time to leave when I looked up one more time and wham, here this was, presented to me on a platter. There was more good fortune because because the wide angle lens and flash were on the camera. Fill flash on the street lamp and that featureless sky make the picture, IMHO.

Great shot. What struck me when I first saw this was how you could photoshop the light pole out of the scene and it would look like a flying saucer was hovering around the arch.
I agree with Sharon, something SciFi about this one. Another great shot. And i thought you'd shot em all!

This is quite the shot, Bob. I got Windows 7 and one of the screen savers is the steel work on this arch. At least I think it is.
I don't think I've EVER seen the Arch from this view - when is the book coming out!?!?!
