Puerto Rico and the Ocean


The city wall of old San Juan, looking north and, beyond, the Atlantic Ocean. Do you like it better in color or black and white? Each has its merits.

Ya, I vote for color too. The B/W is cool, but not quite as striking. I'm sure you already went to town on it in Photoshop, but I feel like there's maybe more possible to make the greyscale pop...

Definitely the color - it speaks to me of nature vs. man-made: eternal vs. crumbling.

It is a very cool shot! I prefer the color though. I like the coloring and texture in the bricks in that version best.

Definitely the color, the warm/cool contrast is very powerful. If it was just the bricks, yes, b&w would work. B&W is good when the line work is the main focus, here you have color fields that are more important.
