Dark Water, Bright Fish

Many Japanese gardens have a koi pond. After it started raining during my visit to the Missouri Botanical Garden, the fish swam right up to me, hoping that I would feed them. I captured their image and gave them nothing in return.

Little do they know that their photo is being shared with the world!

Thanks for your notes. There is a vending machine beside the pond that sells pellets of fish food. The fish learn that when visitors to the garden come to the edge of the water, they will get a meal and they swim up to the edge.
