Merry Christmas From My Home Town

I'm happy that I live in St. Louis but I miss this place so much. No place like it on earth. Sniff...

This picture wasn't taken today (ain't no snow at the moment). The only camera I brought on the trip was the little Olympus EM-5. It totally isn't up to shooting twilight from the air. This was taken on another descent into La Guardia airport but the idea is the same.

Could I retire here? Not if I want to outlive my savings, but one can dream. It's my idea of heaven. Expensive heaven.

Taking tomorrow off.

Merry Christmas Bob. Even as you dream NY is always a great place you are right to miss it.

I think NY is a little bit everyone's home; I feel that way when I visit it.

This city means so much more to you. However II can REALLY say 'nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there'. Enjoy your visit.

Merry Christmas!

It's been a long time since my last trip to New York, but it's always been one of my favorite cities.

I would like to see New York City for myself, particularly more than once. Quite a view!

When I was getting out of law school, the most ambitious classmates streamed to New York City to make their fortunes. I never wanted the hassle of daily life there, but over my career I spent many days in New York. (I was a finance and securities lawyer before moving into management.) Loved my time there, and always thought it would be ideal to do something like a six month tour of duty in the city, but I would need the comfort that my time in NYC would end and I could return to a quieter and simpler place.
