The family went to the Cardinals baseball game last night. The home town heroes got thwacked so the evening, although gorgeous, was not happy.
This is the view from the front of the upper deck right behind home plate. Note the image of the Arch mowed into the outfield (for international readers: the back of the grassy area).

The Cardinals are only 3 games out of first place, and there is still more than one month left in the season, so I continue to have faith in them.
Never seen a baseball game, Looks like you had good seats here. Bummer about the loss.
You must have some real good lawn mowers over there or is it artificial grass? In this case the arch is a little smaller by the size of the stadium but still great.
that's a beautiful view.
Busch Stadium is one of the most beautiful fields in baseball
with a great view of the Arch. Speaking of the Arch, the one on the field was mowed in to the real grass for the All Star game in 2009. Everyone liked it so much, the grounds crew kept it.
A spectacular shot, Bob. Quite a ballpark.
Nosebleeds again, eh, Bob? I like the arch in the outfield and the view of the city behind. Pittsburgh's new field also shows the city from the seats. I love Fenway Park, but it is the field, not the seats nor the views outside the park, that is great there.
Something so nostalgic about a ball park. Even a new one. Thanks for pointing out the arch in the grass. Would have missed it.
I went to the game Thursday and the Cards won in 12 innings! Sweet.
I'm glad you weren't too distressed to notice this view o the Arch Bob :) I will join with Dave and think positive for the rest of the games :)
