PBR

Chicago 2013-04-28 10

We need a little more filler before the next series starts on Sunday so a bit more from Chicago. Pabst Blue Ribbon, often called just PBR, used to be a very popular beer in this country. Sales plummeted by 90% in the 80s and 90s. They revived when the brand became popular with urban hipsters. These days it's always cheap and consumed straight from the can, drunk with a who cares attitude.

The scene here is a north side dive bar.

I've never heard of it, so that beer hasn't likely made it north of the border. Though in fairness, I don't drink, so I wouldn't really know...

I still remember the PBR, way back before I learned to appreciate beer when I spent a LONG, COLD, winter in Wisconsin!

Never tried it, maybe because it doesn't sell in Sweden?
