This is the building that was on fire in Friday's post in a picture taken Saturday morning. No more smoke, fire trucks all gone. It looks like only the top two stories burned out. I wonder what was up there. It made for quite a spectacle. The photo has nice geometry and a whiff of charcoal.

Fires are so scary, for the occupants and for the safety of the fire fighters, especially in an old industrial building like this.
You had left a comment the other day asking about the photo of the archways in the corridor that I posted. The corridor is at the Langosta Beach condo where you stayed last year, rather than the Diria Resort condo where you will be staying this year.
Still standing. I wonder what'll become of the place now.
i'll bet more than a whiff. brooks house burned like this in downtown brattleboro back in early spring and even though it has been cleaned out to a great degree, when conditions are right we can still smell the noxious after-fire odor.
