Ice Angel

.
A cold heart, perhaps, but throbbing with light. Wow, this must have taken a lot of work. The sculpture, not the picture.

This was taken on my iPhone. Thanks again to
Kim for motivating the iShots. This was edited on the phone with the Photogene app, also suggested by her.

How fabulous - and yesterday's machine showing how it's done. I love the carving - just makes me a little sad it doesn't last for long. Fleeting beauty, eh?

Yep, one boo-boo and it's back to the ice box. It would be fun to try this sometime....

This is an extraordinary B&W image of a great ice work!
À propos, did you know this site: Phone Cam 365 (One photo per day from a Nokia N95. Saarland, Germany, through the eyes of an Englishman) its worth a visit. Greetings from Mexico and thanks a lot for your musical comments.

I wonder what the light source is for the angel's heart. This is quite dramatic.

Outstanding image! You've composed it so that the heart of light illuminates the entire photograph.

Very nice angel. Sweet take I like the reflection of light in the middle of the chest.

I'm really intrigued by those wings and the drapery of the gown. The hair as well, so much detail. I can't imagine it was any fun to photograph, though. The final image is gorgeous.

The iPhone is quite capable for sure. And, of course, the best camera is the camera you have at hand. I very often move my iPhone images through Lightroom, though. Try it ... far more control and of course non-destructive editing of those tiny jpeg files.

I'm amazed. So why am I lugging my Canon around? Oh I forgot, I have a cheap Verizon phone that is usually not charged. Oh well. This is a lovely shot B.

Ah, I was wondering if you'd show us the result. It's beautiful. How long before it melts?
