Penguins On Parade

Penguins have an important place is Western cultural history. In recent years John Cleese and Graham Chapman have explored the subject on television while the existentialist comedians Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi have delved into the penguinal personality in the cinema. In the sporting arena, the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team exemplifies both the graceful and violent nature of the flightless bird. Even the great Batman has been confounded by this complex subject.

At the Saint Louis Zoo, the matter is not so taxing. Who's got a herring? Who's got a sardine? they seem to cry. Penguins can be your friends.

My idea of Nature. Really nice photo.

For us old folks, it is a weary time of year. So as it winds down may I wish you and your family a very happy and healthy holiday and a prosperous new year.

Fish sort of feeling about this picture, anyway I'm surprised that it gets cold enough to snow so far south in St. Louis.

Thanks for your pictures throughout the year, and for your contribution to the City Daily Photo network.Have a joyous Christmas and a Happy New
Year,

Oh they're very cute. Penguins always make me laugh. And I love that you managed to get the reflection too.
