Celestial Light

2013-12-14 Planetarium 2

The St. Louis Planetarium is 50 years old and still looks modern. The managers used to put a big red bow around the neck and spotlight it for Christmas. But times and technology change. This year it got a whiz-bang LED light projection system with changing colors and patterns. Way cool.

Those dinosaurs from yesterday's post are just off to the side of the building. You have to hunt for them.

It looks great, I wouldn't mind seeing some stars.

That's wonderful news! I'm hoping to spend a bit of time in the PNW but it shouldn't be before 8 Sept.! So yes, with great pleasure!

I love what they've done with the Planetarium! Every year, I'm looked forward to seeing the big ribbon on it.

Excellent! It seems that lighting has advanced greatly in recent years. They do a fine job here.

The first two pictures make me think the Mother Ship has landed.
