Thursday Arch Series

Arch 2013-07-06 1

Last pic from The Lou for a while. This was taken last Saturday night before we watched the fireworks from a 40th floor downtown restaurant. There's a lot of water down there. The view looks east toward the Mississippi and the plains of Illinois.

Out and about at the Calgary Stampede today.

superbe panoramique, avec l'arche bienveillante (qui comme ca ressemble un immense 'A')

I wish I could join you in Calgary. So to get to Calgary from St-Louis you stop in Dallas???

With this great shot, you've just blown my bubble. I thought today was Friday.

Its for the first time that you clearly see that the arch is also limited in scale and space. But a great picture it is. Thanks for showing.

Looks like Twain's Mississippi has filled back up! What a grand shot. No fireworks needed!

That's an amazing view!

No drought this year in your part of the world...

I can't believe that book suggested the Arch had been a huge mistake!

Look how beautiful it is....

It is amazing that the Mississippi is so full now after having been so low in the spring. Feast or famine.

So good to see the Mississippi so powerful again Bob, some of the shots you showed us when it was at it's lowest were a bit of a worry. Isn't it amazing the difference B&W makes to an image, this has a timeless quality to it, could have been taken in the 50's instead of a week ago!
