A New Orleans Photographer

New Orleans 2013-03-19 31

I met Christopher Porché-West on the evening after I shot my TV commercials in New Orleans last week. His studio and workshop is at the corner of Burgundy and Desire in the Bywater neighborhood. Could there be a better address? It was across the street from the place where we had dinner so we went in for a look.

The place is a gorgeous, tiny museum. You gotta watch the video on his website to get a sense of his view of America's most exotic, mysterious city. If you find yourself in New Orleans, you must visit. Once you've been, you'll understand why.

Bob, this has to be one of my favourites of many favourites from you. The video is a delight. What a wonderful experience you had. Tell me, how does it work re copyright in using these photos - or would they have passed a copyright date anyway? I don't know the laws in America. And are the finished photographs/sculptures expensive? What sort of prices. I adore them. Thanks for the post.

I agree with Jilly Bob fabulous post. The photographs themselves are brilliant, but together with the exceptional framing they merge to become true works of art. Oh how I'd love to visit here, I agree the video is a must see!

A pleasure of travel is to discover a hidden gem by coincidence.
