The food truck phenomenon is sweeping the US. I've heard it started in LA with an upscale taco stand on wheels. They are all over that city and New York these days. Sooner or later, all these trends find their way down here to fly-over country.
There are quite a few in St. Louis now. Food Truck Fridays started this summer in Tower Grove Park. I don't understand the schedule. Word of the date seems to spread by Twitter, which I want nothing to do with. My daughter tells me. She took me and my wife there for the first time last night. There were 12 or 15 of them lined up along the curb. Some yummy stuff but you have to get there early or the lines are impossible. When I first went to the beer queue at about 5:45 there were 3 people in front of me. When I checked back an hour later, there were perhaps 75 people. So don't drink more beer, take photos.

Now that lass in yellow: what fascinating body language. Problem is that I am at a loss to understand what on earth she is saying!!
She's not saying anything Julie. She is trying to look interested in what the woman with the grey hair is going on about.
Lol @ Julie and Steffe.
3 people in front is already too much for me.
We have few food trucks, mostly red dogs and such, Lots of carts though around the city. A beer truck? Now, we're talkin'.
Love the first photo, how your eye is drawn in my that orange flower. And the second truck...does it sell 'pie'? Can't make it out.
A long way from the proverbial roach coach, to be sure.
It looks like it's quite the social event Bob, people getting out and about and probably not as expensive as a restaurant and a bit more laid back. I think it looks pretty cool, except for the 'queue' bit..!!
Bibi - pizza "pie." Really good deep-dish semolina crust. Pi also has several brick-and-mortar locations in the area.
Leave it to you to find a great, great shot B. Don't know nuttin about no food trucks down heah!
Your first photo is marvelous. You found a vivacious woman in yellow surrounded by many people in cool gray and blue. Nice.
This would seem to be more upmarket food that in a normal food van. What a grat idea and a gathering point for the community too.
I've been enjoying food trucks, in nyc, since 1990
