What's That?

.
At first glance it's a little hard to catch the figure-ground difference in the top image. Once you've got that, the question of interpreting what you see remains. It's a very close up shot of the face (for want of a better word) of a semi-abstract ancient Greek warrior. The bottom picture give you the bigger view. Pretty clever design and, once again, an awful lot of work.

Very nice! That's one cold Greek. Makes me want to do some ice sculpture...on a smaller scale.

And astonishingly clear. I love the drip off his nose/noseplate.

Well since I gushed all over your Flickr set, you already know how I feel, but now that it's enlarged I see the color that is outlining. Wow. And that well placed drip is perfecto.

Marvellous work. It's a cross between a Greek warrior and Kokopelli.

Fortunately it rarely gets cold enough in Seattle to support this type of art display. Love the transparency of these sculptures. Nicely portrayed.

And yes, I was thinking how foolhardy today's creator was sidestepping eye protection. Only water, of course, but pretty darn hard and sharp when frozen.
