St. Louis has a surprisingly smaller Hispanic population than most American cities but what we have is centered on Cherokee Street. If you are into that sort of thing, you can get your entire outfit to be a vaquero, or Mexican cowboy. If I remember my Spanish correctly, the brand name could suggest the high or tall ones.

Something we would not see here.
In our St Louis suburban community, not too far from the city, we have a very nice size Hispanic population with several grocery stores with many Mexican products, Mexican restaurants, and a store selling clothing. Before Covid hit, some of the Mexican restaurant/bar/lounges had live Mexican music bands on Saturday nights where many people spent very enjoyable Saturday nights dancing to Mexican music Banda, Norteno, and Cumbia. Many of the men were dressed up for the evening in their Tejanas and botas and jeans, not vaqueros here, but roofers, landscapers, floor tilers, and other workers.
I may be wrong, but I thought Los Altos meant the tall ones.
Correction: Tejanas should have been tejano, which is what I have heard some Mexican spanish speakers say when they are speaking of a Texas hat.
