Baby Snakes

You can go for a night walk through the cloud forests of Monteverde with a guide. It's a good idea to have one along. The green serpent above is a juvenile pit viper. They say you can survive its bite if you get the anti-venom serum within four hours. They make it right there in Costa Rica.

Which brings to mind today's theme song.

Sorry but snakes are the one thing I find hard to look at...

Bob, I've had the best time looking at all your beautiful tropical photos. Funnily enough a friend was in Costa Rica at the same time as you but whether or not in Tamarindo I don't know. Dave's place looks just superbe. One day ...

Loving the photography and thanks so much for your visit today to Menton.

I guess they'd be hard to spot in the bush too Bob, dangerous!

I don't mind snakes myself. Of course, in my part of the continent, the only venomous ones are in very isolated pockets.

Cooooool photo!
Having lived in Australia I'm now pretty unimpressed by snakes, spiders and other critters.

Wow. I'd keep my distance but it is a brilliant photo of the baby snake.
