Forest Park in early November. There was some good color here but I was more interested in the shapes: the emerging bones of the trunks and branches, the shrinking fleece of leaves, the carpet that shifted with any breeze.
Black and white does focus the eye on shapes. We have a series of b & w photos of Mayan pyramids and architectural details in our hallway for the same reason.

No one else turns fall foliage into monochrome but this one looks great. In fact, it looks like the snow covered limbs that will follow far too soon.

We both rendered fall foliage in monochrome today. Interesting.
Beautiful. If you sell your photographs at shows take this one.
The black and white leaves make it almost look snowy.
