The usual social conventions about good taste are not enforced at St. Louis' Halloween street party. Maybe that's what the wilder costumes are about: for one night you have a license to be as outrageous as you want. You can go back to your job as an insurance clerk and no one will think differently of you. It was just Halloween.

This looks like Halloween in the Castro.
I'll stay home and quilt, lol!
It must have been warm enough at least. You wouldn't have seen so much skin last night in Toronto. :)
Let the people have some fun for one night though... it's all in good fun!
Congratulations for the World Series Championship, Bob!
Even if you didn't participate in the CDP "Fences" theme day, these pictures sre about letting down fences.
'Cheeky!!'
I prefer to think of the St. Louis Cardinals rather than these images of St. Louis at play.
B, we all know that's you in the top photo. What will the folks in your firm say about that???

Those are some creative costumes. Wonder what the whole theory is behind what it means when we choose the type of costumes we wear? I was a paperbag princess (from a kids book), so I'm not sure what this says about me!
on se lâche a St Louis, c'est pour Halloween ou pour feter la victoire au baseball ? ;))
These are great, Bob.
You've got a point with your comment that "for one night you have a license to be as outrageous as you want. You can go back to your job as an insurance clerk and no one will think differently of you."
That's quite an achievement already, don't you think?
PS - great set of photos. The last guy looks pretty loaded.
Gotta say, Bob, I'm with you on the concept of Halloween. Don't get it, neither. I think people are so depressed with their droned lives that they overindulge any opportunity to acceptably break loose from the social norm.....and drink.
The high point in the social bell curve makes me sad.
