This young woman with an intense expression illustrates the the reason for the Komen event for breast cancer research. My mother died of the disease at the age of 56. I understand their motivation.
Terrific facial expression. The race here in St. Paul is a huge event every year. I have a large pink ribbon on my car as an act of solidarity with everyone who has now or had the disease. So very sorry about your mother's too-early death!
Nice one Bob. On a lighter note, I heard you will be meeting Cieldequimper of Versailles DP; I spent a lovely day with her, you will definitely enjoy your time!

Yes, that's far too young.

Very puzzled look.
Well captured expression :)
Three of my aunts have all had breast cancer. Luckily they are all still around.
56 is far too young, life doesn't seeBob.m fair at times, it's so good that these young women are doing it for the cause. Excellent image

Sorry to hear about your mother.
I am 54 now... 56 is a desperately young age to die at.
I assume you were a very young man then.
I believe cancer research and especially breast cancer research has done much progress. We need to do more...
We have similar races here. A good cause indeed, both my mother & husband have had cancer & both are now clear thank goodness
What a great personal shot! This young woman looks very contemplative.
