There are several works by glass artist Dale Chihuly around the Missouri Botanical Garden. This one is made of bright yellow tendrils that remind everyone of waves of sunlight. Lots of color, of course, with the blue sky and green grass and trees. I thought it was interesting to strip away the color and just look at the form. This was shot with a little Canon G11 on the day I forgot to bring the batteries for the big DSLRs.

I didn't think 'sun', but 'fire', and now I have Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire on continual repeat through my head!
I discovered Chihuly through CDP blogs, this is marvellous.
I didn't know that Chihuly had works at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. I'll have to stop by the next time in town. I only knew about the piece at the art museum. This is gorgeous.
Interesting exercise this one, showing us a b&w photo and then telling us of all the colours. It's like taking blind people to the movies (it's done you know, and it works !)
Nice photo. Composition and tones work well with this subject matter.
