Rain Cycle

.
A bicyclist in Forest Park dodges the rain showers that rolled through the area yesterday. There is a tornado watch in effect as I write this on Saturday night. I've been in St. Louis more than 40 years and I've never seen one, fortunately, but they've been around the area many times. Mrs. C is from rural Kansas and she's never seen one. She actually has a sister named Dorothy who still lives in Kansas but, sadly, does not have a dog names Toto. She has a husband named Bill.

I'm hoping to shoot the annual Earth Day Festival in the park today. The forecast looks dicey but even if it doesn't rain Sunday the area should be slop. Break out the Wellies.

Is this a lens baby pic?

The park could be Versailles.

This is very very cool. I love this photo B!

We had a washout yesterday but the tornadoes didn't show up, thankfully.

A truly lovely shot. Perfectly framed of course and with such a good atmosphere. Spring, damp from the earlier rain with the eye drawn to the bicycle, the rider and beyond to the end of the vista. beautiful Bob.

Great photo. I'm not sure, but that looks like that little gazebo on the island in the background of your photo. That is one of my favorite things to photograph in Forest Park.

I talked to my sister who lives near Springfield yesterday and she was telling me about the tornado warnings there.

Gorgeous composition. I can just smell the spring rain from it. Great one.

YOUR PHOTOS ARE AWESOME!!!

I'm a freelance reporter and I'm looking for any info on hot and spicy news stories surrounding business in downtown. Does anyone reading this blog know anything about the following:
1. Old Navy opening a store near Locust & 10th
2. A major preschool/kindergarten opening at 11th & Olive
3. BJC making an offer to purchase Downtown Urgent Care
4. A work/live theme at the LaSalle building, where each floor is 3,000 sf.
5. Club Fitness opening near 8th & Olive or 8th & Locust

If you know about any of these, please post your contact info on this blog, and I'll email you directly. I have a substantial budget for reliable information. Thanks.

Well I don't know if the above message led to anything?

Judging from your ensuing posts I assume the tornado didn't come your way. I loved the story of Dorothy who lives in Kansas but does not have a dog named Toto :-)
