Earth Day

.
St. Louis has an
Earth Day festival on the Sunday after the official date. It's so refreshing to see that there are actual strange, free-thinking people in this often too-vanilla town. There were bio-roofers, wild bird rehabbers, tissue-cleansers, soul travelers, organic clothiers, faeries, microbrewers, vegetarians, centenarians, egalitarians and a battalion of chiropractors.

Early in the day I met Uriel Starbuck, who styles himself a creativity coach. His resume appears impeccable.
Got a lot of good shots, which will appear over the coming days.

Very impressive, Bob. If the people campaign for a better world which will be liveable for our children and grandchildren then it yields hope. I'm looking forward to your next shots.

I can't help but notice that he is wearing fake leaves. Does he gain or lose points for that?

He looks like something out of a Shakespeare play.

Yes, 24° is hot for April.

He looks like the Green Man image you find here and there in England.

Was he wearing anything but greenery?

Father Earth I presume? I'll admit I don't even know what some of those things are! Tissue-cleansers for one. Clean your Kleenex and reuse? I don't know about all that. I could use a chiropractor I think. Find any earth friendly poison ivy cures? Send em on!

Creative indeed. And a very strong sense of self as well!

Bob not only is the photo wonderful but your list of greenies is of the spirit-lifting kind. I could help but grin wider and wider as I read it!
