Oops. I had so much on the Official Schedule this week, especially on Wednesday, that I literally lost track of the day of the week. Oh well, life in the fast lane. If this were Thursday, which it's not any more, you would be seeing this wonderful Thursday Arch picture in its natural habitat (but you're not). This one was shot from the north, not the side I usually work, with Eads Bridge at the bottom. Once again, a three-shot handheld HDR. So many HDR images are garish. It don't have to be that way.
Speaking of bad memory and disorganization, my friend Virginia has been bugging me not to forget the April 1 theme day, red. I'll give her red. I'll give all you comrades some red.

Wonderful and powerful shot. The amazing and gleaming Arch is fantastic silhouetted against the grey and ominous sky. Perfect!
Ah, l'obélisque... ;-)
Like my Tuesday doorway.
excellent pov. the entire nature of the arch falls away here and the structure is transformed. i wondered when there was no arch yesterday but was too shy to ask.
Oh Brattcat, don't be too shy to ask. We have to keep B on the straight and narrow you know!
I like this one. The HDR isn't over the top and on second look, I still think it looks like the Washington Monument. A really cool POV here.
Show me some rouge Big Boy!

We'll get a double exposure for this - since you were part of the inspiration for the Sunday Bridge Series, «Louis» is linking to this.
