The car. The fuel, and lots of it.
It's been a few years since I last shot the Catsup Festival. I remember more variety of attractions. Now it's mostly a big hot rod, custom and classic car show. I'm not sure of the year of this old Cadillac (help appreciated) but it has the look of a dreadnought. I can imagine sitting behind the wheel, windows open on a warm summer day, no seat belts, radio blaring Elvis Presley, cruising across St. Louis on Route 66....
Well, no, I can't. But it is impressive in a glitzy, heavy way.

Yes a real power puppy this car.
Days of yore! Bet this brought back many memories for many people who stopped to admire this behemoth!
Oh yes. I can't picture myself in it but I certainly have memories of seeing something very similar to what you describe.
It is a well taken care of classic!
I can't remember the last time I've seen an Illinois plate. I saw a Nebraska plate here just yesterday.
I think it is a '58 Caddie. It's a beautie!
I think it was a prize awarded to one of the top Mary Kay saleswomen in the late '50s.
Looks like a 1958 model to me.
