It was a parade to the Tick Tock Tavern after all. It's a neighborhood bar on Magnolia Avenue just east of Grand Boulevard and Tower Grove Park. Good beer selection (someone asked for Bud Light and was rebuffed), lots of liquor, no food. I didn't even see potato chips or Doritos. Still, it was warm, friendly and full of Articans.
The third picture reminds me of the Toulouse-Lautrec poster of Aristide Bruant.

Great portraits. It seems like they were having a wonderful time.
I thought St. Louis was a Budweiser town! :-)
Great people shots here!
Fantastic portraits Bob, somehow they don't seem so weird in the singular :)
A busy tavern- particularly with such peculiar customers!
Steve's Hot Dogs opened later and it was on! :)
OUstide for al fresco drinking I suppose. Great portraits B.
Does life's trip always end in a pub? Sure seems it.
You're right about Bruant, I wonder if he knew!
I wonder if he took inspiration from the Toulouse Lautrec image or if it was a coincidence. Were you tempted to reverse the image to underscore the similarity? That would have been dirty pool, but you would have got away with it.
