I'm not sure whether these young men are actually sailors or students in a high school or college military training program. Some of them don't look like they could legally buy a beer. There is also a real lack of enthusiasm about being in the Veterans Day parade. Maybe they are usually off on Saturday.
Love the oddball on the left wearing shades.

Nice group shot, but too bad they couldn't muster up a little more enthusiasm.
ils sont peut ĂȘtre concentrĂ© pour marcher au pas.
True....they look like they'd rather be elsewhere.
A not so happy group.
I would think cadets. Some of them were in the parades here yesterday.
Very cool portrait, Bob!
I think William's right. Probably cadets.
There was an interview in one of our papers with a member of an active service unit that was in the march yesterday. He said they're trained not to react to the sound of applause, just to march forward. I assume it's the same with the cadets. The veterans, on the other hand, are not expected to keep a stiff upper lip, and will wave to the crowd and smile.
I am going to guess that these men are not real sailors. Maybe students. The sailors and soldiers I see on active duty are much more disciplined with better posture. They usually pride themselves on staying in cadence.
Ha, I was going to say students because of the guy with the shades.
Great photos. Your accute commentary and that of your visitors all seem very right.
Sorry for the s.
Not great photos but great photo, there's only one.
I didn't want you to think that I'm not really looking.
