Shall We Gather At The River

Artica 2014 12

The Artica parade ended at the mighty Mississippi. Participants were invited to send something biodegradable (but not themselves) down toward the Gulf of Mexico. It was perfect if you had something to dissolve into the stream of all existence. As Hermann Hesse said in Siddhartha, you can never step into the same river twice.

St. Louis parades and party's of costumed people seams endless but what a good opportunity for us photographers. Never out of a subject. Nice ones again.

And no one even tried to swim (being biodegradable!!!)? It does look wacky!
VDP is back and did not see any buttermilk in that size in the stores she stopped at. Believe it, or not...

Very peculiar indeed. Now I'm wondering what that structure is out in the water.

I'd run around downtown St. Louis in a crazy costume, but no way would I go anywhere near the river!

A quiet affair by the looks of it here. But fun and colorful.
