It's that time again when the only constraint on St. Louisans' behavior is the temperature. New Orleans blows us away, of course, but we probably have the next biggest Mardi Gras celebration in the US. The parade proceeds from the baseball stadium south to the Soulard neighborhood. Let it all hang out.
My computer tells me that I snapped the shutter 1,117 times in four hours. Half were cut in the first pass. There are some gems among the remainder. Days worth of material, and it works pretty well for the CDP "people in the street" theme day. Click here for pedestrians from around the world.

Superb portraits! I love a good parade.
These are great Bob!
The top shot made me laugh! Great portraits.
You really captured the moment. You've got another day or two to get great pics. Hope to see more!
People in 'dress' always makes for creative photos.
Fabulous! Everyone is having fun...smashing portraits.
Your first shot is 'big' in every way Bob, love it! Fun times hey, looking forward to seeing some real characters... 1117 clicks, man that's impressive!
Great street shots! Some parts of Germany also have big carnival traditions, but unfortunately not here in Berlin.
I want that first costume. Especially the necklace!
Great captures and all seem to have a jolly good time!
1,117 pictures in four hours? No wonder you are running out of memory cards! ;-)
Terrific shots, particularly the woman in the third shot!
Oh, Bob, I do so love going to St. Louis with you, honey!
Great street portraits for the theme day Bob.
