STL is the standard abbreviation for our town. The letters in just the type and configuration on this building are on the front of the Cardinals' hats. It's the airport code. The local newspaper's website is stltoday.com.

My little city has a rather cool nick name. At least when you are a teenager. The word Tungelsta can be divided into three parts. Tung means Heavy. El, means Electricity. Sta can mean City, hence I live in Heavy Electric Town.
I like the design of the middle initials Bob, really it's all you need right!
That ornate STL logo is emblazoned on my mind, along with several of the other longtime logos, like Boston's B and the Yankees' NY.
I don't know nuttin' about no baseball but I like the rouge wall and the flag and all that.

Hear about the baseball that traveled over 1,000 when hit out of Fenway? It SUPPOSEDLY landed on a railroad car that was headed to Chicago. I'm sure this is an urban baseball myth. Every stadium has 'em I bet.
