STL DPB IN IRELAND - ECCO IL PAPA

Seen yesterday in Grafton Street, the busy pedestrianized shopping thoroughfare in the heart of Dublin. The artist had stretched some kind of plastic sheeting between two posts and was painting a portrait of Pope Francis, who died on Monday. It would leave no permanent record and the authorities didn’t object. Imagine that in the U.S.

Home late tonight but there are lots of Irish images still to edit on the plane.

STL DPB In New York - Protect Your Heart

Graffiti or street art, as you prefer, under the southern end of the Highline. The first one could break your heart. The second might be advice for lovers and the third a response to it.

Street Art In Arles

Arles 2014-09-01 7

As the French say, a chacun son goût. Biere a la pression is draft beer. Douche is shower. Cuir is leather.

Incroyable! We were looking for a supermarket at the Gare du Nord, near our apartment in Paris (Google Maps has its location completely wrong). A local woman came up to me in the street, asked me in her own language where the entrance to the Metro was, I understood her, answered her question (sure hope I was right) and she thanked me profusely. Progress. It felt good.
