One of the stages at Pride Fest featured drag musical entertainment. One of my many faults when shooting events is that I get sucked up by the images and miss some ot the context. I didn't make a note of this performer's name or what she was singing, but my aural memory is that it was very heartfelt. The next performer did a lip-sync of Judy Garland's Over The Rainbow from the movie, just standing there straight, and it didn't work as well.

Mexican Music, Mexican-ish Food
I've still got a backlog of raw images to edit and I haven't even started on what I shot last weekend. It occurred to me to take some time off during this holiday weekend. Do you think it's likely?
The first photo is the singer in a Mexican band. She was really into it and I enjoyed her passion. I speak a little Spanish and I understood some of the song. Like a lot of popular music, it sort of boiled down to "ooh, baby baby."
The restaurant in the second picture was new to me. It sounds like heaven. To hell with the cardiologist. Enjoy life.

Diva
Across the room from yesterday's pictures this mezzo was letting it fly. She was what some opera reviewers call a force of nature. (You get the point.) I'm sorry that I didn't get her name.
It doesn't come naturally for Westerners to sing over didgeridoo improvisations. The two artists mostly went their own ways but it somehow worked together.
