Tears Of The World

 

Just around the corner from the the store where we saw the bitcoin sign a couple of days ago. People from around the world in traditional dress, holding hands, with tears in their eyes. The line of figures goes on further but ends in darkness.

I am totally out of new material and I have a busy day at work today. Time  to explore the archives.     

And Just Next Door . . .

You can see this peeking through the right side of the second photo in yesterday's post. It's the side of the neighborhood post office. Apparently you can't have a proper wall in The Grove without it being painted. The sort of disjointed line-up reminds me of the work of one of my favorite contemporary artists, James Rosenquist.                    

Paint By Numbers

It is a bit surprising but I'm seeing adult coloring books around these days. Hard to see the reason. Maybe people who never learned to draw want to make their own graphic novel.

The idea was extended at Grovefest. There are lots of wall paintings around the neighborhood. Someone put up the lines for a new one and filled in the spaces with color coded numbers. The public was invited to fill in the tones. Not very creative work but fun in its way and the result was pleasing.
