DOME WITHIN A DOME

A model of the Old Courthouse made mostly of clear plastic, revealing some of its interior structure. I’m particularly interested in how much larger the outer dome is than the inner one, pictured recently.

Most of the work was done when I swung by the Paint Louis wall Monday afternoon. A few finishing touches were being applied while visitors like me cruised for photos. This woman was posing in front of one section while another took pictures. They said they were friends of the artist. I asked if I could join in and they were happy to oblige. Since she was standing in a circle, it occurred to me to have her raise her arms like clock hands.         

Because It's All I Got

Hanging from the ceiling in our DFW hotel's restaurant, which was surprisingly good. And the art in the room is unusual, early 20th Century American style. One looks like a Depression-era WPA painting that might show people gathering or looking for food.

The model above is a fantasy. No engine, bizarre tail, strange gun top center,

We like the hotel. The staff has been very nice in letting me practice my Spanish with them.
