YOU FIGURE IT OUT

A few days ago we saw one of these metal sculptures in the garden that was a clever representation of the rock paper scissors game. How are we to interpret, though, horse scissors crane? Maybe it's just a visual representation of the complicated and simple things you can do with pieces of paper and something to cut them.               

I DUNNO, IT MAKES ME THINK OF BASEBALL

It is said that necessity is the mother of invention. If so, boredom may be the father. Almost nothing going on here, just winter blahs. So I go out driving aimlessly with my camera, looking for something to catch my eye. Sometimes I get lucky. For the locals, this is at Brentwood and Forsyth in Clayton.            

HEAVY LIFTING

Things you don't see from the land beside the Mississippi. The first one is right at waterside. No idea what it lifts. That is a barge in the foreground of the second picture. I assume the huge green arm sucks or pumps things in and out of them. It's a working river, not very scenic away from the city center but still interesting.
