Light Fuse Run Away

There is a new restaurant on Manchester Avenue in The Grove neighborhood called Firecracker Pizza & Beer. Good idea. Get those basic food groups checked off with a side of strong graphics. Black Cat is the name of a popular brand of firecrackers.

I like the "light fuse run away" concept. How perfectly juvenile.            

An American Pastime

There are actually people in this country who  think this is a great way to enjoy a day. I find that scary. What shall we perforate, the beer cans or the people?

The idea is sometimes fueled by the product in the second picture. PBR, as we often call it, used to be just another cheap beer. It was adopted by hipsters as a bit of an ironic gesture. Now so many hipsters suck it up that the brand has raised its prices. Note that the inflatable model can says "established in Milwaukee." The company is now based in Los Angeles. 

        

Angular Momentum

         

just isn't poetic enough. Angular momentum, rotation, hula hoops, what does it matter? In this case, the main interest is the axis of rotation, the center around which elliptical movement occurs. Found over the weekend at Grovefest on Manchester Avenue in the funky Grove neighborhood along with other interesting images. Stay tuned.

It's not like Vladimir Horowitz showed up for dinner but there's plenty of time for development. Note the cross-hand technique. After a strenuous practice session it's time to kick back with a soft little lamb provided by Auntie Virginia. 

          

Dragon Eats Toyota!

Seen along Manchester Avenue in The Grove neighborhood. Those hungry dragons will eat anything. Why, if you left them on this lot it would probably nibble on a couple of Mini Coopers for an appetizer and then snarf down a Hummer for the main course. Be careful where you park.

WHAT I NOTICED ABOUT THE REACTION TO MY POST YESTERDAY: it had the highest number of visits in quite some time (must have been that catchy thumbnail). The subject, as they say, is a hot potato.
