Okay, the title is a bit flippant but it's a serious question. Any pet that was left outside from Sunday night through Tuesday morning would have perished in the cold. I heard somewhere that on Monday it was warmer at the South Pole, where it is ostensibly summer, than in Chicago. (Puzzler: what time zone is the South Pole in, or the North for that matter? Sounds like quantum mechanics - all and none at the same time.)
Indeed. Meanwhile beautiful photo and let's hope Kitty was found. x
ReplyDeleteYour temps are definitely colder than those in Alaska. Stay indoors.
ReplyDeleteAvec ce temps autant chercher une aiguille dans un botte de foin. J'aime bien la profondeur de champs (et toujours ce b&w)
ReplyDeleteOuch...
ReplyDeleteYes that doesn't look good. But it stays a nice picture despite the sad message.
ReplyDeleteSad.
ReplyDeleteMy son just told me that today it was warmer on Mars than in Chicago... Hope kitty turns up alive and kicking.
ReplyDeleteAmazing snow series. While you have extreme cold, West Europe had the "Black Swell", meaning no one alive has ever seen the Atlantic as wild as it was on the 6th. It was quite scary, believe me!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh...that breaks my heart...
ReplyDeleteI've heard Chicago referred to as "Chiberia!"
ReplyDeletePolar vortex sounds very scary indeed Bob.. I'm going to think positive and believe that kitty survived!
ReplyDeleteThat was a formidable storm.
