The Cardinals won Game 3 of the World Series on a bizarre play in the bottom of the ninth. Americans have all heard about it by now. My international readers would have a hard time understanding it. We'll take whatever we can get. The Cards are up 2 games to 1 in the best-of-seven contest.
Carolyn, Emily, Brian, Madeleine the Rally Baby and I are going to Game 4 tonight. Hope I can get something posted. Gotta be at a business meeting 7:30 Monday morning.

Thanks for the photos, Bob. Have a great time at the game!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bizarre ending!
ReplyDeleteBut hey, that's the great game of baseball.
Great game, even if the ending was funky. The radio pundits are all saying it was the correct call, although unlucky for Boston.
ReplyDeleteBoston fans must be grinding their teeth about now....
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good time...but I have to root for the Sox...TheChief's got the Sox in the yearly bet er...challenge...
ReplyDeleteCongrats on last night's win. Weird ending. If the umpires want to pull out a never-used rule, why don't they also call the runner out for running down the infield grass? Sour grapes? Yup.
ReplyDeleteGotta go. Tonight's game is about to start.
Bizarre ending to a game!
ReplyDeleteBob the intensity of the top photo makes it a top one for me. It's absolutely striking!
