I'm sorry I missed Amy Thompson when I stopped by Paper Boat Studios on Cherokee Street during the tour. She was one of the first artists I photographed when I started this project in 2008. Her credentials as a printmaker and custom bookbinder are impressive, as noted here. So, since she was out running an errand, what was there to photograph? Paper boats, of course.
And very nice they are Bob, just hanging around there and looking pretty. Hope you are having a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteI want them all for the corridor in Quimper.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous shot and photo opportunity. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI see you didn't know how many toes a dog has! You just might learn when you visit me...
Very cool!
ReplyDeletebtw Your comment about the 'bule-dots' in Rockport... hilarious.
Interesting work.
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a wonderful yearly event, I've enjoyed your photos of this studio tour.
ReplyDeleteSo cool! What a lovely shot this is.
ReplyDeleteOh I think some baby would love this mobile or even your gorgeous photo in their room. Beautifully composed and the light is so sweet.

It's very origami-ish, esp. the print on the paper and the way the boats are suspended from the ceiling.
