This young woman with an intense expression illustrates the the reason for the Komen event for breast cancer research. My mother died of the disease at the age of 56. I understand their motivation.
Terrific facial expression. The race here in St. Paul is a huge event every year. I have a large pink ribbon on my car as an act of solidarity with everyone who has now or had the disease. So very sorry about your mother's too-early death!
Nice one Bob. On a lighter note, I heard you will be meeting Cieldequimper of Versailles DP; I spent a lovely day with her, you will definitely enjoy your time!
un portrait tres fort et avec beaucoup de volonte, pour ce combat contre le cancer. 56 ans , c'est jeune ;(((((
ReplyDeleteYes, that's far too young.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your mother.
ReplyDeleteI am 54 now... 56 is a desperately young age to die at.
I assume you were a very young man then.
I believe cancer research and especially breast cancer research has done much progress. We need to do more...
We have similar races here. A good cause indeed, both my mother & husband have had cancer & both are now clear thank goodness
ReplyDeleteWhat a great personal shot! This young woman looks very contemplative.
