Another candid portrait, this time a young actress in the green show before St. Louis Shakespeare In The Park's performance of The Merry Wives of Windsor. I like this picture for its soft, warm tones and the woman's charm.
I couldn't find any information about the term "green show," even a glossary of theater terms. Can anyone help with that?

It isn't a term I've heard before. It appears to be a reference to this particular project held on or in 'a green' (Forest Park).
ReplyDeleteTo their great credit this team has expanded on the term to make this an environmentally responsible annual event.
I got sidetracked Bob, I like the photo a lot too.
ReplyDeleteCandids are fun. And this is a good one. I shot quite a few over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteAhh the light is wonderful and what a lovely young woman. Excellent. Bobbi would be proud of you!

A terrific portrait. You really had the "sweet light" going for you. And she's gorgeous. The bokeh is too. Just fab.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! It looks like a VERY realistic painting. Gorgeous!

The Green Show is the pre-show festivities - all of them- that take place before the mainstage production. The Mini Play, Jeff, musicians, etc...
ReplyDeleteThat beautiful young woman is my most wonderful daughter, Beth P.
Thank you for sharing this photo. It's one of my favorites.
