Soundtrack here.
And while I'm taking pictures out my office windows - these people make me flip out when they go by. We're not in the biggest building but 15 stories straight down is a long way. He is in some kind of harness but I can't vouch for its security. The men who do this tend to look a bit rough and they may really need a job. It takes some extra motivation.
ReplyDeleteI'm not afraid of heights, but I still wouldn't want this guy's job!
Perfect soundtrack for this shot. I agree with you, that is one very, very scary job. One the I could never do. When I was living in that high-rise in Chicago, I caught the window washer hanging outside my apartment a couple of times. Somewhere I have a photo I snapped. It's of course in a box somewhere, not on a hard drive or even a disc. It was that long ago, sigh!
ReplyDeleteHe certainly doesn't mind it!
ReplyDeleteNice (clean) view out your window. I work with a guy that used to wash windows in skyscrapers when he was a younger and a lot nimbler. He still misses the life and money he used to make hanging off buildings like that. It is definitely not an old man or woman's job. I prefer your view to the window washer's view any day.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he missed a spot.
ReplyDeleteYou have to be a special kind of person to want to do that. I'm not that special :)
ReplyDeleteAgree with you about that. I have often wondered what I'd do if for some reason I had to accept a dangerous job like that. Try to psych myself into thinking I was elsewhere, I guess.
