Hello? Hello? 30 months old and she uses an iPhone better than spoken language. There's no one on the line - I guess she just thinks it's cool to mimic adults. Still, she can be so sweet about it. If we babysit and Mrs. C gets there first, Madeleine wants to call me just to hear my voice, exclaiming Papa! Papa! into the phone. Then when I arrive she runs up to me, wants to be picked up, and moments later grabs for my phone while making monkey noises. That means that she wants to watch Curious George cartoons on Netflix on my you-know-what. My family didn't even have a television when I was this age.
Who uses a land line anymore? She must see this on Curious George. We not only didn't have a TV, we couldn't have dreamed of a phone with no cord, let alone one that you could carry in your pocket.
ReplyDeleteOh she gets more lovely each time we see her Papa Bob :) What is Carolyn's title? I'm so happy I chose Gigi, nice and easy and one of the first Pax could say, there's method in my madness :)
ReplyDeleteSuch adorable photos! You are making lasting memories for you and for her.
ReplyDeleteShe's such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteMmmmh, I have mixed feelings about today's kids' geek habits.
ReplyDeleteI have no grand-children as yet but I think I'd be tempted to treat them old-style whenever they visit: no phones, no TV, very little time spent on any screen of any kind. Maybe it's unrealistic but it is said that many top management geeks in the Silicon valley enrol their kids in Montessori schools and the like where screens are banned. I think it's for a reason. I feel there's something wrong with all this stuff.
You are so lucky to have Miss M around so you can visit with her so often.
