Images from the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. It is a powerful experience. Many of the displays are made of sculpture of the people who lived the struggle, set in photographs of the actual events.
I was a teenager during most of the events depicted here. My memories are hazy.

So very moving. These events didn't take place so long ago... it's hard for me to fathom that people could have been treated so poorly based on the color of their skin. Although we have come a long way, there is still a ways to go.
ReplyDeleteSuper musée, et important pour la memoire de tous les pays

ReplyDeleteIndeed moving, and definitely I would not miss it if I found myself nearby.
ReplyDeleteBeen there. An experience both stirring and depressing.
